Ableton Live Workshop
The Ableton Workshop has officially arrived! We help producersunderstand this innovative program and use the wide range of functions available. Spend a few Saturdays with Retro Music and add Ableton Live to your list of production skills!
What is required to start this workshop?
- Basic music production skills
- Students with knowledge of Cubase, Logic or other similar programs will grasp Ableton quicker
- This workshop is ideal for those who understand new concepts quite quickly, otherwise one-on-one instruction can be taken in the Ableton Program

- Introduction to:
- Music production
- Creating beats
- Music theory
- Synthesis
- Audio effects
- Midi effects
- Arrangement
- Automation
- Mixing and Mastering in Ableton
- Working on the above elements to create music in Ableton
- The basics of music production
- Using Ableton on an advanced level
When do workshops take place?
- Workshops for Ableton Live take place on Saturdays between 10am and 2pm
- Between 2 and 4 people can join the workshop so book ahead and secure your place.
- This workshop runs over 4 Saturdays
Cost: R1000 (R250/lesson/person)
This crash course in Ableton gives students an overall understanding of how to work with the program and get the full benefit of its wide range of functions.
